JATIAPAT WATERFALL

Really exhausted after a hectic week at the office or college? Well, it’s time to recharge your batteries and start afresh! How about escaping to a destination that’ll give you a mixed dose of adventure and peace? Then, start your journey to enjoy Jatiapat waterfalls.

Jatiapat waterfall one of the most ever beautiful waterfall in Odisha you’ve ever been seen! Nested in the lap of the North-Eastern Ghats of Odisha, and it is situated 135 km away from Bhubaneswar,  & 50 kms away from Kamakhyanagar.

This tourist attraction is largely an unexplored place.Recently this October it was explored by an enthusiastic traveller Subhasish Dash.He travelled 2 times to that place and succeeded in his second attempt.  He got help from villagers regarding the route and the precautions that needed to be taken while travelling there .

Subhasish shared with us that villagers were really nice to him and their hospitality was commendable, he even had lunch at a villager's place. He further added that villagers said him that it's not safe to go alone and especially in the early morning it's more unsafe,so going there in a group is preferrable.  Jatiapat literally means ‘mist-capped peak’. The verdant landscape of Jatiapat covered with mist and dense forest presents a mind-blowing picture to a visitor. Two streams that begin its journey from the north interior Eastern Ghats converge here to form the river, Ramiala and Gameindhara The sight of the waterfalls gently caressing the rocky, hilly terrain simply soothes your senses. Jatiapat waterfall doesn't come under the Eco-Tourism Division of the Odisha Govt. There are two main waterfalls in this protected area of Harichandanpur –Telkoi Reserve Forest Range. The first waterfalls are within ½ a km radius; the second one is almost a 40 km away. If you can go further, you can reach Telkoi, situated at a height of 75 metres.
